Jessica Rabbit: Dazzling Diva ANIMATION
The Gutter of Lost Frames
Turpentine drifted through the vents of the Velvet Coda like a chemical ghost, a caustic reminder that in this city, even the air was a lie. The nightclub was a cathedral of neon and smoke, where the high-society humans rubbed elbows with the ink-and-paint elite. But tonight, the atmosphere was curdled. It wasn’t just the smell; it was the vibration. Beneath the floorboards, something was rhythmic, wet, and frantic. It sounded like the scratching of a thousand pencils against a jagged chalkboard.
Jessica Rabbit stood before the vanity in her dressing room, her reflection distorted by a mirror that seemed to be losing its silvering to some unseen rot. She wasn't just a woman; she was a masterpiece of impossible geometry, a silhouette designed to break hearts and laws of physics alike. She adjusted a long, lavender silk glove, pulling it tight over an arm that moved with a fluidity no human bone structure could support. She felt the gaze of the room shifting even before she stepped out—the heavy, suffocating weight of a thousand eyes waiting for her to stumble.
"The crowd is restless, Jessica," a voice croaked from the corner. It was Benny the Cab, his yellow paint chipped and peeling like a leper’s skin. He sat parked in the shadows, his headlights dim and flickering. "The Weasels... they’re under the boards again. I seen ‘em. They got stuff from the dark side of the ACME catalog. Stuff that ain't supposed to exist outside of a fever dream."
Jessica didn't turn. She watched her own crimson lips in the mirror as they curved into a smile that lacked any hint of mirth. "They think they can edit me out of the script, Benny. They think a few traps can break a woman who was drawn to endure." Her voice was a low-frequency hum, a sound that bypassed the ears and settled directly in the marrow of the listener’s bones. "They’re tired of the punchlines. They want the tragedy now."
She rose, the sequins on her gown clicking like the carapaces of a million beetles. As she walked toward the stage, the hallway seemed to stretch, the perspective warping in a way that made the floor feel like it was rushing toward a vanishing point miles away. This was the first sign of the sabotage: a "Perspective Warp." If she lost her footing, she would be compressed into a single, two-dimensional line, a sliver of ink lost in the floorboards. She adjusted her stride, leaning into the distortion, her hips swaying in a counter-rhythm that defied the hallucination.
The stage was a circular island of mahogany surrounded by a sea of hungry faces. As the spotlight hit her, the orchestra began a dirge-like jazz number. But the first note from the saxophone didn't drift through the air—it fell. The sound had been given physical weight by a "Gravity Anvil" hidden in the rafters. The golden note hit the stage with a bone-jarring thud, cracking the wood. Jessica didn't flinch. She stepped over the shattered sound, her voice rising to meet the microphone.
"You want to play, boys?" she whispered into the mic, the sound amplified until it felt like a caress against the skin of every person in the room. "Then let’s play for keeps."
As she began to sing, the floor beneath her gave a sickening lurch. A "Portable Hole" had been activated, but it wasn't a hole into a basement; it was a void. It was a patch of absolute, light-consuming blackness that began to drift across the stage like a hungry amoeba. Jessica danced around it, her movements a seductive lure for the darkness. She led the hole toward the edge of the stage, teasing it with the hem of her dress.
"Is that the best you can do?" she cooed, her eyes scanning the shadows beneath the front-row tables. "I’ve seen better tricks in a Saturday morning rerun."
A high, wheezing laugh bubbled up from the darkness beneath the stage. It was a sound of wet lungs and manic cruelty. "Oh, we ain't just drawing circles, doll!" a voice shrieked. It was Psycho, the weasel whose eyes were nothing but swirling pinwheels of madness. "We’re rewriting the laws! We’re gonna turn you into a smudge! A blot! A nothing!"
The stage began to bleed. Not red blood, but thick, black India ink that seeped up through the cracks. It began to take shape, rising into jagged, animated thorns that sought to pierce her heels. Jessica didn't stop singing. Her voice turned haunting, a melody that felt like a funeral march for a world made of celluloid. She reached down, her gloved hand dipping into the ink. She didn't pull away; she gri
