Ahri: Velvet Fangs ANIMATION

Eclipse of Hungers

In the fractured heart of the Eldergrove, where ancient oaks whispered secrets to the wind, Ahri danced on the edge of oblivion. Her nine tails fanned like spectral flames, casting illusions that bent moonlight into shards of forgotten dreams. The air hummed with a low, insatiable throb—the prelude to hunger that gnawed at her core. She had come here chasing echoes, not prey, but the line between guardian and devourer blurred with every step.

A figure emerged from the gloom, not shadow but flesh: Elarion, the lorekeeper of mist-veiled Ionia. Tall and angular, with eyes like polished obsidian, he clutched a lantern that flickered with ethereal foxfire. "Ahri," he called, voice steady yet laced with awe, "the elders spoke of your return. These shades—they multiply like regrets unspoken."

She tilted her head, golden eyes gleaming with predatory mirth. "Regrets, Elarion? How poetic. And you, brave chronicler, chase them into my web? Tell me, do your scrolls warn of the fox who guards the veil... or rends it?"

He stepped closer, undaunted, the lantern's glow tracing the curve of her porcelain skin, the sway of her tails that seemed to beckon the night itself. "The scrolls say you're both. The shadows breach from the Void's fringe, devouring essence as you once did. Join me, and we'll seal them—or prove the tales wrong."

Ahri laughed, a sound like wind chimes forged in crystal, seductive and sharp. "Prove them wrong? Darling, I am the tale. But lead on. Your light amuses me."

They ventured deeper, the grove's canopy weaving a tapestry of perpetual twilight. The shadows stirred first as whispers: faint murmurs mimicking lost lovers, pleading "Come closer... remember me." Ahri's tails twitched; she recognized the voices. Fragments of souls she'd claimed long ago, before the K/DA lights blinded her to the abyss.

The first assault came without warning. From the underbrush erupted tendrils of inky void, coiling like serpents with eyes that wept black tears. One lashed at Elarion, who swung his lantern like a ward, its foxfire blooming into azure bursts that seared the darkness.

"Stay behind me!" he shouted, but Ahri was already a blur of motion. Orbs of spirit energy materialized in her palms, hurled with lethal grace. They detonated amid the shadows, unraveling them into wisps of smoke. Yet as one tendril grazed her arm, a jolt surged through her—a sweet, forbidden pull. Essence. Pure, vital essence radiating from the shade's core. Her fangs ached; the compulsion rose like a tide, urging her to drain, to feed.

She staggered, tails lashing. "No," she hissed to herself. "Not this."

Elarion noticed, his gaze piercing. "The hunger? Fight it, fox queen. Or are you their kin?"

Her eyes flashed crimson for an instant. "Kin? I'd sooner kiss the void. But they taste... familiar." She spun, unleashing a volley of orbs that lit the grove in staccato horror. Shadows screeched, voices multiplying: "Ahri... why abandon us? We burn for you."

Seduction wove into her counterattack. She swayed, tails undulating in hypnotic patterns, drawing the shadows near. "Come, my dears," she purred, voice a silken snare. "Dance with mother once more." They lunged, mesmerized, only to dissolve under her claws—elegant talons that sliced with surgical terror.

Elarion watched, transfixed. "You're poetry in carnage. But those voices... they call your name alone. What have you wrought here?"

The mystery deepened as they pressed on. The grove warped; trees twisted into grotesque effigies, bark etched with faces frozen in ecstasy and agony—marks of essence theft. Ahri's compulsion intensified, visions assaulting her: revels in moonlit glades, mortals enthralled by her charm, their life force siphoned in euphoric surrender. Guardian? Or monster cloaked in beauty?

They reached the Heartgrove, a clearing dominated by a colossal spirit oak, its roots pulsing like veins. At its base writhed a nexus of shadows, a colossal entity coalescing: the Umbral Sovereign, a behemoth of writhing darkness crowned with antlers of solidified night. Its form shifted, adopting visages—lovers, wanderers, all drained by Ahri's past indulgences.

"Ahri," it boomed, voice a chorus of the stolen. "Sister. Return to us. Your hunger birthed the breach."

Elarion raised his lantern high. "Lies! The Void spawned you to unmake Ionia."

The Sovereign laughed, a rumble that shook the earth. "Fooli
