The roaring crowd thundered with excitement, their shouts and cheers reverberating through the towering walls of the secret arena. The air was thick with anticipation, the scent of sweat and adrenaline swirling in the musty heat. Rainbow Mika, her long, blonde hair flowing like a radiant beacon under the spotlights, stood at the center of the ring, adjusting her blue-and-white wrestling attire. Her heart pounded with the electric pulse of the crowd, but beneath the surface, a gnawing unease crept into her mind.

This wasn’t like any tournament she had entered before.

Mika had been lured by the promise of fame and glory—an invitation delivered in a blood-red envelope sealed with a symbol she didn’t recognize. It was a secret tournament, whispered among the fighters as something elite, something beyond the ordinary. For Mika, always chasing her dream of becoming the world’s greatest wrestler, it had been an irresistible opportunity. But now, standing in the center of the ring, staring at the shadowy faces in the audience, she could feel that something was terribly wrong.

Her opponent hadn’t even arrived yet, and the match was already tense with foreboding.

“Fighters, prepare yourselves!” a voice boomed over the intercom, its tone as cold and distant as the abyss. “The rules are simple. The winner moves on to the next round. The loser… well, the loser enters the labyrinth.”

The crowd erupted into cheers again, but Mika’s blood ran cold. The labyrinth. She had heard whispers about it backstage, from the other fighters—the ones who looked at her with hollow eyes and muttered about those who had disappeared. There were no second chances in this tournament. Once you entered the labyrinth, you never came out.

The heavy iron doors at the far end of the arena groaned open, and Mika’s attention snapped to them. A figure stepped through the haze of fog, tall and menacing, their form obscured by the dim lighting. As they moved closer, the lights revealed a hulking brute of a man, his body covered in scars, his eyes glowing faintly with an unnatural light. He wore a mask—no, not a mask, but some kind of grotesque helmet shaped like a skull, and his fists were wrapped in chains that clinked with every step he took.

“So you’re the famous Rainbow Mika,” the man growled, his voice like gravel being ground into dust. “I’ve heard about you. You’re about to become another piece of the labyrinth’s collection.”

Mika’s fists tightened, her resolve hardening despite the fear creeping into her bones. She wouldn’t let this brute intimidate her. She had fought bigger, stronger opponents before, and always emerged victorious. This was no different. She’d win. She had to.

With a sharp nod from the referee, the match began.

The brute charged, chains swinging wildly in a blur of deadly force. Mika barely had time to duck, the heavy metal whistling past her ear as she rolled out of the way. She sprang to her feet, launching herself toward her opponent with the speed and agility that had made her famous in the wrestling world. Her signature move, the Rainbow Typhoon, was already in motion as she grabbed the brute’s arm and spun him into the air with a powerful twist.

But something was wrong.

As her opponent crashed to the ground, Mika expected the familiar sound of a body hitting the mat, the groan of pain that followed every successful throw. Instead, the brute simply stood up, as if the attack had done nothing. His glowing eyes locked onto her, and he laughed—a deep, guttural sound that sent shivers down Mika’s spine.

“You think that’s enough to stop me?” he snarled, the chains on his fists clattering ominously. “In this tournament, pain is nothing. Here, we fight with something far worse.”

Before Mika could react, the brute’s chains lashed out again, wrapping around her wrist and yanking her off balance. She tumbled forward, crashing to the mat with a sharp gasp. The brute’s weight was on her in an instant, his chains tightening around her throat, cutting off her air. Panic flared in Mika’s chest as she struggled to free herself, but the brute’s strength was overwhelming. His grip was like iron, unyielding.

“This is where it ends for you,” the brute whispered, his breath hot and rancid against her skin. “Welcome to the labyrinth.”

Just as her vision began to darken, Mika summoned every last ounce of her strength. With a furious scream, she wrenched free from the brute’s hold, her body erupting in a surge of adre
