The sky above Midgar roared with dark clouds, swirling in a tempest that threatened to tear the heavens apart. Bolts of crimson lightning split the air, casting jagged shadows across the ruined landscape. Tifa Lockhart stood at the edge of the Sector 7 plate, her fists clenched tightly, feeling the electricity surge through the air. The wind whipped her dark hair across her face, but her eyes remained focused on the figure standing across from her—a rogue warrior cloaked in shadows, a man whose very presence felt wrong, unnatural.
He had come out of nowhere, descending upon the city like a storm, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. Entire sectors had been wiped out in his path, his mastery of forbidden elemental powers wreaking havoc on everything in his way. Earth, fire, water, air—he controlled them all with terrifying ease. But it wasn’t just the destruction that unnerved Tifa; it was the way he did it, as if he reveled in the chaos, feeding off the fear and panic of those caught in his storm.
Tifa tightened the straps on her gloves, the leather creaking under the pressure. She had faced countless enemies before—Shinra soldiers, monstrous creatures, even Sephiroth himself—but there was something different about this warrior. His eyes, glowing a sickly green, held no emotion, no humanity. It was as if he had become one with the elements, something far more dangerous than any opponent she had ever encountered.
"You're a fool to face me alone," the warrior said, his voice a low growl, like thunder rumbling in the distance. His hand flicked toward the ground, and a crackling wave of electricity surged through the metal plates of the city beneath them. Tifa barely had time to leap back as the ground exploded in a shower of sparks, the air thick with the scent of ozone.
"I’m not afraid of you," Tifa shot back, her voice steady despite the chaos around her. She slid into her fighting stance, muscles coiled and ready. She wasn’t just fighting for herself—she was fighting for the people of Midgar, for everyone who had suffered under the weight of destruction this man had wrought. She couldn’t afford to lose.
The warrior sneered, raising his hand toward the sky. "You should be," he hissed.
With a flick of his wrist, the storm above them responded. Massive chunks of ice began to form within the clouds, growing larger and larger until they became jagged glaciers hanging ominously overhead. With a deafening crack, the ice shattered, raining down toward Tifa with lethal speed.
Tifa’s heart raced, but she was ready. Her body moved before she even had time to think, her martial training kicking in as she danced through the falling shards of ice. Each step was precise, her movements a fluid blur as she dodged the deadly rain, her feet barely touching the ground. The ice slammed into the earth behind her, exploding in a shower of frost and steel, but she was already ahead, closing the distance between her and the warrior.
With a fierce cry, Tifa struck. Her fists lashed out in rapid succession, each blow carrying the full weight of her strength. The warrior raised his arm to block, but Tifa’s fists connected with bone-crunching force, driving him back. She followed up with a powerful kick, her boot slamming into his chest, sending him flying into a nearby pile of rubble.
For a brief moment, Tifa allowed herself to feel a glimmer of hope. Maybe he wasn’t as invincible as he seemed.
But that hope was short-lived.
The warrior rose from the rubble, his eyes glowing brighter than before. "You think you can stop me with your fists?" he spat, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. "I am beyond your strength. I am a force of nature."
He thrust his hands toward the ground, and suddenly the very earth beneath Tifa’s feet began to shift. The ground trembled violently, cracks spiderwebbing out from where he stood. With a deafening roar, jagged spires of stone shot up from the ground, twisting and writhing like serpents as they closed in on her.
Tifa’s pulse quickened as she leaped back, narrowly avoiding the deadly spires. She darted left and right, using her agility to stay ahead of the shifting earth. But the rogue warrior wasn’t done yet. With another flick of his hand, the air itself began to shimmer and distort. A gust of wind, more powerful than anything she had ever felt, slammed into her, knocking her off balance. She tumbled across the ground, skidding to a stop near the edge of the plate, dangerously close
