Ember, a whirlwind of molten fury, tore through the Grineer galleon. Her warframe, a crimson inferno, blazed a path of destruction. Every shot from her Ignis rifle ignited with an unnatural ferocity, melting armor and turning flesh to bubbling viscera. But for all the carnage she unleashed, a cold dread gnawed at her.
The Tenno council had tasked her with extracting Captain Vor, a Grineer high commander rumored to possess crucial intel on the growing Infestation. Yet, instead of finding the pompous captain, Ember stumbled upon a horrifying truth.
The Grineer galleon, once a warship bristling with weaponry, was now a twisted parody of itself. Organic growths, pulsating with an unnatural luminescence, had fused with the metallic hull. Grineer soldiers, their bodies grotesquely warped, shambled mindlessly, their uniforms morphing into grotesque fleshy extensions.
Panic, a cold serpent coiling in her gut, tightened Ember's grip on her Ignis. This wasn't just Infestation; it was something far more insidious. This was a monstrous corruption, a violation of nature that sent shivers down her spine despite the heat radiating from her warframe.
Suddenly, a guttural roar echoed through the corridor. A monstrous creature, a horrifying amalgamation of Grineer and Infestation, lumbered into view. Its body, a twisted mass of bone and pulsating flesh, was clad in warped Grineer armor. Its head, a grotesquely mutated version of a Grineer helmet, pulsed with an otherworldly light.
Fear, for a fleeting moment, threatened to engulf Ember. But rage, a fiery inferno fueled by years of war and hardship, roared to life. She charged, her Ignis spitting fire. The creature roared back, unleashing a torrent of corrupted energy that scorched the walls.
The battle was a dance of fire and corruption. Ember dodged the creature's lumbering attacks, her Ignis scorching its fleshy hide. But for every wound inflicted, the creature seemed to regenerate with unnerving speed, the Infestation filling the gaps.
Frustration, a burning ember within her chest, flared into an uncontrollable inferno. Ember roared, a sound that defied the limitations of her warframe's voice modulator. The flames on her armor flared brighter, her fury fueling her fire.
"World on Fire!" she screamed, unleashing the full force of her ultimate ability. A wave of fire, propelled by pure rage, engulfed the creature. The monstrous amalgamation shrieked, its form writhing in agony as the flames burned away its corrupted flesh.
But the victory was short-lived. The fire, fueled by her raw emotions, grew out of control. It licked at the warped walls, setting the already compromised hull ablaze. Sparks flew, igniting pockets of Grineer fuel.
A growing sense of horror gripped Ember. Her anger, a weapon forged in the fires of war, had become the very thing it was supposed to fight. Panic surged through her, a cold counterpoint to the inferno she had unleashed. The once-controlled blaze became a raging beast, consuming everything in its path.
Alarms blared, screeching warnings of a critical system failure. Escape pods blasted off in a frantic exodus. Ember, caught in the inferno of her own making, felt the galleon shudder as it began to break apart.
Time warped into a dizzying blur of smoke and flames. The last thing she remembered was the sickening lurch of the ship as it split in two, the cold grip of space rushing to meet her.
Ember awoke in the sterile confines of a Tenno recovery pod. The flickering emergency lights cast an unsettling glow on her warframe. She felt weak, the embers of fury banked but not extinguished.
The mission report was a stark indictment of her actions. The loss of the Grineer galleon, the potential loss of crucial intel, all laid at her feet. But worse than the reprimands was the crushing weight of guilt.
She had let her anger consume her, turning her into the very monster she was supposed to destroy. The image of the burning galleon, a gruesome pyre against the backdrop of space, haunted her nightmares.
Days turned into weeks, the confines of the Liset growing increasingly claustrophobic. Ember felt ostracized, the fire of her passion replaced by a chilling isolation. The Tenno council, once a comforting brotherhood, now seemed distant, their whispers laced with censure.
One night, unable to bear the weight of her guilt any longer, Ember ventured out onto the Orbiter, the massive Tenno ship that served a
