Samus Aran: Armored Amazon ANIMATION
Echoes in the Marrow
Commander Vance bled a color that did not belong in the human spectrum. An iridescent, pearlescent violet pooled beneath his heavy boots, casting a sickly, bioluminescent glow against the steel bulkheads of Outpost Keres. The fluid moved with deliberate sluggishness, defying the gravity of the sloping floor, creeping upward like the reaching fingers of a drowning man.
Samus Aran observed the viscosity of the alien blood through her combat visor, her arm cannon locked onto the exact center of the Commander’s chest. The Galactic Federation insignia on his uniform was actively dissolving, eaten away by invisible, microscopic jaws that hissed softly in the dead air. Silence had consumed the remote planetary base, a heavy, suffocating quiet that had fallen precisely twenty-two minutes ago when the screams of seventy scientists abruptly stopped.
"You are calculating the trajectory required to vaporize my heart," Vance whispered. His voice lacked the frantic, terrified edge of a dying man. It was smooth, resonant, and impossibly calm, carrying an underlying harmonic vibration that vibrated against the plating of Samus's Power Suit. "Or rather, what remains of it."
"Step away from the primary console, Commander," Samus commanded. The synthetic modulation of her helmet stripped the biological warmth from her voice, leaving only the cold, unyielding authority of a veteran hunter.
Vance did not step away. He leaned casually against the command terminal, the heavy reinforced blast doors sealed tightly behind him. Beyond those thick titanium doors lay the central atrium of the research facility. Samus could see the shadows shifting underneath the door seam, completely independent of the flickering emergency lights.
"They were fragile, Samus," the entity wearing the Commander’s face murmured. It rolled her name around its stolen mouth, savoring the syllables as if tasting a rare and exquisite vintage. "Like spun glass in a centrifuge. They shattered when we sang the first notes to them. Their minds splintered. Their flesh yielded. But you... you are something entirely different."
"I am the one who finishes this," Samus said, her finger resting lightly against the firing mechanism of her plasma beam. "Whatever parasite has taken root in this facility ends in this room. Tell me how you bypassed the atmospheric scrubbers."
Vance chuckled, a sound like grinding crystal. He reached up, his fingers tracing the contour of his own jawline. As he pressed, his skin did not depress like normal flesh; it yielded with the sickening crunch of a hollow shell. "Parasite is a word invented by the ignorant to describe a union they are not invited to join. We did not bypass the scrubbers, beautiful hunter. We were already in the ice. We have been waiting in the deep marrow of this dead world for a million years, dreaming in the dark. The miners merely gave us a door."
Samus analyzed the room, her eyes darting across the tactical displays inside her helmet. The thermal readout on Vance was anomalous. His core temperature was dropping rapidly, yet his muscular density was increasing at a geometric rate. The violet fluid at his feet was beginning to crystallize, forming sharp, fractal patterns that pulsed with faint light.
"Your heart rate remains perfectly steady," the entity noted, tilting Vance’s head at an angle that snapped his cervical vertebrae. He did not seem to notice the loud crack. "We can feel the rhythmic perfection of your pulse. It is a masterpiece of biological engineering. Chozo blood intertwined with human resilience. A lethal, flawless anatomy wrapped in a cage of metal. Why do you hide such divine beauty from the universe?"
"My armor is not a cage," Samus replied, adjusting the output of her arm cannon. A low, dangerous hum began to vibrate through the air. "It is a consequence for things like you."
"We offer an end to your endless war, Samus," the creature purred, taking a slow, fluid step forward. The violet crystals shattered beneath its boots, reforming instantly in its wake. "We know the vast, echoing loneliness of your existence. You are an apex predator, solitary and misunderstood, floating through the cold vacuum of space, drifting from one massacre to the next. You possess the beauty of a dying star, brilliant and utterly alone. Let us touch the canvas beneath the armor. Let us weave our chorus into your perfect DNA. Together, we would not just survive the galaxy. We would rewrite it."
"You talk too much for a
