Ahsoka: Quest for Justice by Jade Gretz

Ahsoka Tano jolted awake, a cold sweat clinging to her skin. The familiar comfort of her cabin on the Ghost was a stark contrast to the chilling visions that had just plagued her sleep. It wasn't the first time. Nightmares, vivid and unsettling, had been plaguing her for weeks, each one transporting her to a place she only knew from whispered legends – Mortis, the ancient Force nexus.

The dreams were more than just visions. Ahsoka felt them – the oppressive heat of the Daughter's fiery world, the bone-chilling cold of the Son's domain, the unsettling serenity of the Father's temple. Each place held its own horrors, its own cryptic warnings.

In one dream, she found herself standing before the Daughter, a beautiful Togruta with blazing crimson eyes. The Daughter spoke of an imbalance, a disruption in the Force unlike anything she had ever witnessed. The Son, a dark-skinned Togruta with eyes like molten gold, appeared in another nightmare, his voice dripping with malice, promising a coming age of chaos where the Force itself would bleed darkness.

But the most unsettling of them all was the Father, a towering figure cloaked in white, his face obscured by shadow. He spoke in riddles, his words hinting at a destiny intertwined with Mortis, a role she was yet to understand.

Initially, Ahsoka had dismissed these dreams as mere stress – the aftereffects of years spent battling the Empire, witnessing the rise of dark forces. But the frequency of the nightmares increased, their intensity growing with each passing night. The lines between dream and reality seemed to blur.

One day, while meditating aboard the Ghost, the Force surged around her. Images from her nightmares flooded her vision – the barren plains of Mortis, the towering temple, the three Force wielders. It wasn't a dream. It was a connection, a beckoning from beyond the stars.

Panic clawed at Ahsoka. The Force rarely called so blatantly. Yet, she couldn't ignore it. The urgency in the visions, the fear in the Daughter's eyes, it felt like a plea for help.

She confided in Ezra, her young Padawan, his youthful optimism tempered by a flicker of concern in his eyes. Kanan, ever the pragmatist, dismissed them as Force visions, cryptic but ultimately harmless. But Ahsoka wasn't so sure.

The pull towards Mortis grew stronger with each passing day. Sleep became a torment, a gateway to a terrifying world where the lines between darkness and light were blurred. And then, during a mission on a remote asteroid base, it happened.

As Ahsoka and Ezra battled a rogue Inquisitor, the Force surged around them in a chaotic maelstrom. The air shimmered, and a vortex tore open in space. Before either of them could react, they were sucked into the swirling portal, disappearing into the unforgiving void.

They landed hard on the burning sands of the Daughter's world. The heat was like a furnace, the air thick with smoke and ash. The once vibrant plains, Ahsoka remembered from her dreams, were scarred and barren.

Looking around, Ahsoka spotted the skeletal remains of a massive creature, a glimpse of the destruction that had ravaged this world. Ezra, his face pale with fear, clung to her arm.

"Ahsoka," he stammered, "where are we?"

Before she could answer, a figure materialized from the shimmering heat haze. It was the Daughter, her once vibrant eyes dimmed with sorrow.

"Ahsoka Tano," she spoke, her voice a haunting melody. "You have finally heeded the call."

Relief and fear warred within Ahsoka. Mortis was real. The nightmares were not a figment of her imagination.

"What is happening here?" Ahsoka asked, her gaze flickering to the devastation around them.

The Daughter's face contorted in a grimace. "The Son," she rasped, "he has consumed the balance. Darkness engulfs Mortis, and its tendrils threaten to spread beyond this realm."

Ahsoka felt a chill run down her spine. The Son, the embodiment of chaos, was in control? What did it mean for the galaxy, for the entire Force?

"What can we do?" Ezra piped up, his voice trembling.

The Daughter reached out, a spectral hand brushing against Ahsoka's cheek. "You are here for a reason, Ahsoka Tano. You hold the key to restoring the balance, but the path is fraught with danger."

The Daughter explained the delicate balance that existed on Mortis – the Father, the embodiment of order, the Daughter, representing love, and the Son, the embodiment of chaos. The Force flowed freely betwe
