Ember: Ignited Destiny by Jade Gretz

Ember, a tempestuous firestorm contained within sleek, charcoal armor, descended upon the ravaged plains of Meridian like a shooting star. The oppressive heat of the irradiated sun seemed to pale in comparison to the inferno that crackled around her. Below, the once fertile fields lay barren and dusty, a testament to the greed of the Corpus juggernaut that had squeezed the lifeblood out of the region.

Ember wasn't here for sightseeing. News had reached her Tenno comrades of a burgeoning rebellion brewing in Meridian, led by a young woman named Anya. Anya, with her fiery spirit and defiance, had resonated with Ember, sparking a flicker of hope that had been long dormant within the seasoned Tenno warrior.

Landing amidst the crumbling remains of an abandoned farm, Ember was greeted by a sight that chilled her fiery core. The people of Meridian, once robust and vibrant, were now mere shadows. Their eyes, dull and vacant, reflected a hopelessness that burrowed deep into Ember's soul.

A skeletal figure emerged from a ramshackle hut, a tattered cloth draped over her emaciated frame. Anya, her fiery spirit dimmed by hardship, managed a weak smile. "You're Ember," she rasped, her voice like dry leaves rustling in the wind. "We… we didn't think you'd come."

"Hope is a fire that needs stoking sometimes," Ember said, her voice a low rumble, a comforting counterpoint to Anya's despair.

Anya's smile, though fleeting, rekindled the embers of hope within the villagers who had gathered, their hollow eyes clinging to the Tenno warrior with a desperate yearning. Ember saw in them a reflection of her own past – a past ravaged by loss and a world choked by darkness.

But unlike her own past, where hope had been extinguished, here, a spark remained. And Ember, the embodiment of fiery resilience, was determined to fan it into a blazing inferno of resistance.

In the days that followed, Ember became a beacon of hope, a walking inferno that defied the oppressive heat of the Meridian sun. She trained the villagers, their emaciated bodies pushed to the limit as they learned basic hand-to-hand combat and the art of wielding salvaged Corpus weaponry.

Fear, however, remained a potent weapon in the Corpus arsenal. Whispers of a terrifying creature, a twisted monstrosity the Corpus had unleashed upon a nearby settlement, reached their ears. It was a creature forged from the very life force of Meridian, a grotesque parody of humanity fueled by the despair of the people.

The whispers chilled even Ember to the bone. This wasn't a mindless drone or a grotesque mechanical monstrosity. This creature was born of the suffering they endured, a manifestation of their darkest fears.

Fear threatened to consume the fledgling rebellion. The villagers, already at their physical and mental breaking point, were on the verge of collapse. Anya, her flame flickering once more, rallied them, but doubt gnawed at the edges of her resolve.

It was then that Ember revealed a chilling truth. "This creature… it fears hope," she explained, her eyes burning with a fierce intensity. "Fear fuels it, despair sustains it. But hope… hope sears it like sunlight scorching a grub."

Anya's eyes widened in realization. Hope, even in the face of overwhelming despair, was their weapon. It was a weapon Ember understood all too well.

The final confrontation took place at the Corpus refinery, a monstrous steel behemoth extracting the lifeblood from Meridian. The creature awaited them, a towering amalgam of twisted flesh and Corpus technology. Its eyes, glowing red embers, mirrored the despair etched upon the faces of the oppressed.

Fear threatened to engulf the villagers, but Ember stood before them, a defiant inferno. "They've taken your land, your resources, your hope, but they cannot take your spirit!" she roared, her voice a blazing beacon.

The villagers, remembering their training, the flicker of hope nurtured by Ember, stood tall. They weren't trained warriors, but they were fueled by a desperate yearning for freedom.

Ember led the charge, a whirlwind of fire and fury. Her warframe, usually a comforting armor, felt heavy in the oppressive atmosphere. But the fear in the eyes of the villagers, the desperation they mirrored, gave her renewed strength.

The battle was a maelstrom of fire, steel, and tormented screams. The creature, fueled by fear, lashed out with incredible might. Ember, a beacon amidst the storm, deflected blows and incinerated Corpus
